Fresh Passport to New Born Child

A new passport is issued to children born in United Kingdom to the resident Indian parent / parents. To apply for a passport, the child’s birth has to be first registered with the Consulate General of India, Belfast within one year from the date of birth. Details of Birth-Registration may be seen in the relevant section of website.

Documents required:

1.Duly completed and printed application form

 (https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/mission/).

2. For ICAO compliant photographs please click here.

3. Self-attested copy of UK eVisa (online immigration status) along with share code (if available)

4. Self-attested copy of Birth certificate copy issued by Consulate General of India, Belfast.

5. Self-attested copy of Birth Certificate issued by the concerned UK authority.

6. Self-attested copies of Passports (first and last pages) and UK eVisa (online immigration status) along with share code(s) of both parents.

7. Duly filled-in Annexure D signed by both parents [Download].  Signatures must tally with those in their passports.

8. Self-attested copy of Marriage Certificate of parents.

Note:

  • Physical presence of the child is not mandatory. Both the parents are required to visit one of VFS Centres in UK with their original passport. If both are not able to visit VFS centre, one parent can visit with the Original Passports of both parents and authority-letter from the other parent.

  • Both parents must sign the application in the relevant column of the application form.

P.S: Applicants are required to furnish original documents along with one set of self- attested photocopies of the same at the time of submission of application.
