Consul General attended Rivers Remember, a unique cultural collaboration between Northern Ireland and India, presented by Maiden Voyage Dance Company. This was part of the Belfast Mela by ArtsEkta.
Bringing together acclaimed Odissi dancer Kavita Dwibedi and Northern Irish dancer Sarah Flavelle, the performance beautifully blended classical Odissi with contemporary dance, drawing inspiration from rivers as carriers of memory, identity and belonging. The use of poetry by Rabindranath Tagore and W. B. Yeats added a powerful literary bridge between India and Northern Ireland—celebrating the enduring friendship and artistic connections between our cultures.
