Cricket diplomacy in County Down!
August 08, 2026
Consul General joined Downpatrick Cricket Club 1849 on 8 August to open the club’s new practice nets, and score hut — a proud milestone for a one of the oldest clubs.
Also present were Mr Glyn Hanna, Chairman of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, and Councillor Alan Lewis.
A shared love of cricket remains one of the strongest bridges between India and Northern Ireland.
